Welcome to our presentation of Valorant Philippines. Valorant is the new competitive FPS from Riot Games. This is a free game (Free to Play), available on PC and in the Philippines.
Valorant takes up the initial concept of Counter-Strike: two teams of five players compete on closed maps for a certain number of rounds.
The Attacking team must reach one of the explosion sites and place a Spike there. The defending team must prevent the Spike from exploding.
Players eliminated during a round do not reappear until the start of the next round. At the end of each round, each player receives credits based on their performance, which they can then spend on weapons or gear.
Riot Games adds a twist to this proven recipe: Agents. Agents, comparable to DOTA or Overwatch heroes, each have 4 unique abilities.
Unlike those of its models, Valorant’s abilities are limited-use and must be purchased from the purchase menu or earned by completing in-game objectives. These abilities are very varied, ranging from the installation of surveillance cameras to an orbital strike, through the creation of walls of fire or arrows that bounce off the walls.
In addition to requiring a lot of concentration and precision, it is essential to know the abilities of all the Agents in play in order to achieve victory.
Course of the game
At the start of a game, all players must select an Agent. Once the selection is made, it is impossible to change Agent until the end of the game. It is also impossible to have the same Agent twice in the same team.
The game then randomly selects one of the available cards, which becomes the sole theater of the game. On each map are two to three explosion sites, named by letters (Site A, Site B, and sometimes Site C).
A game of Valorant is divided into 25 rounds. Each team is assigned a side of the map at the start of the game, depending on whether it is the Attacking or Defending team. After 12 rounds, the teams switch roles. The first team to win 13 rounds wins the game.
However, there are extra times if the score is too tight. Teams will have to keep fighting until they are 2 points ahead of their opponents. In these extensions, the teams change roles each round and benefit from a large bonus of credits.
Déroulement d’un round
At the start of each round, the playing area of both teams is restricted by closed doors. Each player has a few tens of seconds to equip themselves via the purchase menu. One of the Attacking players can choose to pick up the Spike from the ground. When the purchase phase ends, the doors of the arena open and the round can truly begin.
The Attacking team wins the round if it meets one of these conditions:
- it eliminates all defenders;
- she manages to land the Spike on a site and the Spike explodes.
The defending team wins the round if it meets one of these conditions:
- she defuses the Spike;
- it eliminates all opponents before the Spike is placed;
- at least one of its players is alive when time runs out.
At the end of the round, players earn credits to spend on subsequent purchase phases, based on their results in the round just played. Players still alive at the end of a round keep all their unused equipment.

Think that the Philippines is a collection of islands, the connection is not always stable (high ping), the closest Valorant servers are located in Hong Kong and Singapore. FrenchBalut recommend that you check with the different Internet Service Providers (ISP) such as PLDT, SkyCable, Converge in Philippines.
